Since half 2005 WASA-Industries AB has finded a classic Swedish sailingyacht the Mälar 30 in their salesprogramm. More ships of this type will follow in the near future.
The reason is a call from the market. The market is strongly interested this moment in ships from this type because their beauty, sailingqualities and sailingpleasure.. This all combined with a reasonable price. Also the shape of these classic ships with sharp lines and overhanging bow and stern does appeal many people. For the Dutch market you can compare these ships with a big Dragon but equipped with a small cabin suitable for four persons (Wich means four berth's) Becaus of this accomodation not only daysailing is possible but also an longer stay on board and therefore longer trips.
The Mälar 30 is standard built with polyester hull and a pine/mahoganey or teak deck and a wooden cabinconstruction. Inside fully wainscotted and equipped with batteries, bnattery-carger, lightening, engine, sails, leather cushions ceiling, berth's pantry, watersupply, electric bilgepump etc. In short fully equipped for direct sailing.
The Mälar is 11,30 m. long en 2,20 m. wide. You can sit and sleep in it with four persons without any problem In short a splendid boat for weekend and holidayleisure with wich you will catch many eyes from your fellow yachtsmen.
For those who are interested we cab also built the boat completely in wood. It is also possible to obtain an wooden yacht and make a full restaurationproject. TRhe boat will the dilivered in stat of new. That means the same quality as a fully new built one.
